If your Fiery Server supports this option, you
can configure the Fiery Server to communicate with corporate information
servers at your organization by means of the LDAP protocol.
The Fiery Server can access lists of email addresses to be used with features such as sending scan jobs
to email.
Note: The time difference between the LDAP server and
the System Time of the Fiery Server () must be five minutes or less.
- From Configure, choose .
- In the LDAP Configuration window, select the
Enable LDAP check box.
- Type the name or IP address of the LDAP
server.
The LDAP server IP address and host name must be registered on
the DNS server.
- Type the port number for communicating to the LDAP server.
- To require secure communication, select Secure Communication (SSL/TLS).
The Fiery Server automatically determines the type of
communication that the LDAP server supports and connects accordingly.
- If authentication is required, select Authentication Required and
then specify the type of authentication.
- Type the user name and password for connecting to the
LDAP server.
- If you selected GSSAPI as the authentication
type, type the domain name for the LDAP server in the Domain field.

In Search Base, type the
location where the Fiery Server searches to locate the LDAP server. To
verify the search base location, click the Validate button
at the bottom of the screen.
- In the Maximum Entries
field, type the maximum number of entries that the Fiery Server accepts from
the LDAP server.
- In the Search Timeout
field, specify the maximum amount of time that the Fiery Server spends in
attempting to communicate with the LDAP server.
- Save your changes.
