Dongle and license requirements for Color Profiler Suite

Using Color Profiler Suite’s full functionality requires a spectrophotometer that has an activated license connected to the computer that has the software. (The spectrophotometer serves as a dongle.)

Note: You can use the Konica Minolta FD-5BT spectrodensitometer in place of the EFI ES-2000 spectrophotometer as a dongle and as a measurement instrument. Contact your EFI representative for more information about this instrument and license.

An activated spectrophotometer license is valid for that spectrophotometer only, and you can use only that spectrophotometer with that license.

If you connect the spectrophotometer before starting Color Profiler Suite for the first time, Color Profiler Suite automatically downloads and installs the license when the application starts.

Note: If Color Profiler Suite cannot connect to the Internet, see Download a Color Profiler Suite license.

If you connect a spectrophotometer that is unlicensed, you must activate the license.

If no spectrophotometer is connected, or you do not want to activate the license, you can run in Demo mode.
