Deal with naming conflicts when importing spot colors

All spot colors must have a unique name. If an naming conflict occurs, you can either rename or replace one of the spot colors, or cancel the import of the duplicate color.

In the Import Conflict dialog box, do one of the following:
  • Rename one of the spot colors in either of the spot color tables. This may be useful if the spot colors have different color values. Use this setting to keep both spot colors.

  • Replace one of the spot colors in either of the spot color tables. This setting overwrites the name and the spot color values. It provides an easy way to merge two spot colors.

  • Do not import conflicting spot colors. In this case, spot colors remain unchanged in both spot color tables. Click Cancel to skip the current conflict, or click Cancel All to skip all conflicting spot colors.
