Set up a print-and-cut device or a cutter
You can set up your device to print and cut in one step. If you are using two separate devices, you can set up Command WorkStation to print and cut in two steps.
Before you begin: Make sure that you have configured your printer in Command WorkStation.
Many different contour sources and cutting methods are available, depending on the selected cutting device. By default, the bounding box is used, but you can also cut a job according to a PDF page size definition. If you configure a cutter iin Command WorkStation, you can create cut contours around non-vector graphics.
Do one of the following:
In Server Manager: On the sidebar, click Printers, and select a printer. In the printer's tree view, select a media. On the Printer & Workflow Settings tab, expand the Special Settings panel.
In Job Editor: On the Printer tab, expand the Special Settings panel.
- Under Contour cutting,
select one of the following:
Print—Prints the job, but does not cut the contour data.
Print & Cut—Prints the job and cuts the contour data.
Cut only—Cuts the contour data without printing the job.
- Select Enable printer cut marks.
You can now configure cut contours.
