Adjust the size of printed jobs

Treatment processes found in textile printing, such as steaming, washing, drying, and tensioning, can affect fabric size (shrinkage or stretch). You can compensate for any inconsistency in the length and width of a printed image by adjusting the output dimensions to the original pattern size.

The C:\Program Files (x86)\Fiery\Components\Fiery XF\Samples folder contains the file Ruler_1m.pdf. It consists of a set of ruler markings for a length and width of 1.0 m x 1.0 m.

  1. Print out the file Ruler_1m.pdf on your chosen fabrik, and perform the usual treatment process. Then, measure the width and length of the ruler markings.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In Server Manager: On the sidebar, click Printers, and select a printer. In the printer's tree view, select a media. On the Media tab, expand the Media Correction panel.

    • In Job Editor: On the Media tab, expand the Media Correction panel.

  3. Under Media size correction, type the actual length and width of the printed ruler markings.
When media size correction is applied, an information icon appears on the far right of the Job Editor toolbar. It provides details of the exact media size after treatment.
