Adjust sharpness
You can improve a blurry image by increasing sharpness or soften an image by decreasing sharpness. Softening is sometimes desired for special effects and in portraits.
Adjust sharpness automatically
You can apply the Automatic preset to adjust sharpness automatically.
Click Automatic in the Presets menu.
Adjust sharpness manually
You can adjust sharpness manually without using a preset.
Set any of
the following in the Sharpness section
of the Adjustments pane:
Sharpness - Affects the non-fleshtone colors in an image.
Fleshtone Sharpness - Affects fleshtones in an image.
Note: Setting Sharpness and Fleshtone Sharpness to the same value can have undesirable results. This is because the level of sharpness that produces clear rendering of objects can cause people in an image to appear to have pitted or textured skin. In most cases, setting Sharpness higher than Fleshtone Sharpness yields the best results.Lock (Sharpness) - Increasing or decreasing a Sharpness setting increases or decreases the other Sharpness setting by the same amount. For example, if Sharpness is 15, Fleshtone Sharpness is 0, and the lock is on, then increasing Sharpness to 30 increases Fleshtone Sharpness to 15 at the same time.
