Check and improve the color accuracy of spot colors

You can check how accurately Command WorkStation can reproduce L*a*b* spot colors. You can reduce a delta E by applying a spot color optimization file.

Color Editor provides the following methods to check and improve color accuracy:

  • Check color accuracy—Indicates whether a spot color is in gamut or out of gamut for a selected combination of printer and print configuration set.

  • Convert spot colors to the printer's color space—It is easier to make color adjustments to spot colors that are defined in the printer inks.

  • Create a spot color optimization file—Optimizes in-gamut spot colors that are outside the acceptable dE tolerance limit.
